Vault Arms IDPA Match

Put your handgun skills to the test in a dynamic, practical shooting environment.

Vault Arms hosts regular IDPA matches designed to challenge shooters with courses of fire that go far beyond standing behind a traditional firing lane.

Matches may incorporate movement, barricades, barriers, target transitions, reloads, use of cover, multiple shooting positions, and low-light stages depending on the match design.

While scores and competition are part of IDPA, our matches are also a great opportunity to practice practical handgun skills in a structured environment. New IDPA shooters are welcome.

What to Expect

Each match consists of multiple stages requiring shooters to safely navigate different shooting problems. Depending on the match, stages may include:

• Drawing from the holster

• Multiple target engagements

• Target transitions

• Shooting around barricades and barriers

• Shooting from cover

• Movement between shooting positions

• Reloads

• Non-threat targets

• Varying shooting distances

• Low-light shooting when incorporated into the match

Every stage is different, so shooters will need to balance accuracy, speed, movement, and safe firearm handling.

Who Can Participate?

Our matches are open to both experienced IDPA competitors and shooters who are new to the sport.

New shooters should already be comfortable safely operating their handgun and should have a working understanding of:

• Safe loading and unloading

• Muzzle discipline

• Trigger-finger discipline

• Drawing and reholstering safely

• Basic handgun manipulation

If you're brand new to handgun shooting, we recommend completing Basic Handgun Fundamentals and/or Tactical Pistol Level 1 before participating.
